The 2 Way Yield Sign

After many frustrating encounters with people who just don't understand how get through a 2 way yield sign I decided to be proactive and give a little refresher course.

Rule #1:  If you are approaching an intersection and intending to go straight or right, and there are no visible signs, keep driving.  Do not do any of the following

1. Act like it's a 4 way stop
2. Stare at me on the side walk with this stupid look on your face.  I'm not going to jump in front of your car or otherwise do anything to impeed your multi-ton vehicle with my 155 Lbl body.
3. Do anything other than go, just go

Rule #2:  If you are approaching and intersection and you see a yield sign then slow down and if there are cars coming treat it as a stop sign.  If not you may proceed with caution.  Do not

1. Act like it's 4 way stop
2. Run me down.  I have the right of way when you're at the yield sign and I am crossing the street in a perpendicular direction to the way in which your car is facing. 
3. Repeatedly stop and go 1 foot at a time making no progress yourself and impeeding the progress of others as they roll on the ground it fits of laughter.

And I'm not lying when I say this but you may proceed without coming to a full stop if there are no cars, pedestrians or other physical objects in front of your car.

Now lets combine the two.  Image there are streets where one way has no visible signs and the other way has yield signs.  Don't panic when you see these streets.  Instead follow the simple rules outlined above.  Panicing leads to one of the below. 

1. You stopping in the middle of the intersection and blocking all traffic
2. Treating it like a 4 way stop.  It is not a 4 way stop!!!!!!!!
3. Slamming on the brakes for no apparent reason
4. You coming to a complete stop and then stupidly looking at me on the sidewalk as if I can give you some advice and hand hold you through this tramatic experience.
