Seattle Drivers and Rain

Like most places, traffic in Seattle gets worse when it's raining. It's more dangerous so people slow down, take corners slower which eventually causes even more backups. However Seattle still manages to set itself apart from the rest of the country in a few ways ...
  1. It doesn't rain here. It drizzles. No I'm not joking. No thunder, lightning, torrential downpours or anything resembling actual raindrops.
  2. Instead of mildly slowing down, Seattleans go into full panic mode and refuse to even hit 35 on the freeways.
  3. Lets not forget than 35 is typically the standard speed at which they like to merge onto the freeway. Guess how fast they try it in the rain ...
  4. We live in Seattle!!! It rains for almost 3 solid months here. How can you not get used to this???????
  5. Did I mention it doesn't actually rain here.

Traffic in Seattle is insane.
