Dyno PowerBall

My mom got my brother and I dyno-powerballs last christmas. Recently at work I began showing the signs of the dreaded CTS. Someone mentioned that I should try some alternative wrist excersises to help alleviate the problem. So for kicks I picked up my powerball and started playing around with it.

It's 100% eliminated my CTS symptoms. Whenever I feel them coming back, I just pick up the powerball for a few minutes and they immediately go away. It's a great tool for wrist strength in general and I highly recomend it to anyone that works in the computer industry.

Crash (The movie)

I had no interest in seeing this movie until it won the "Best Picture" award this year. I didn't want to see it mostly because I hadn't heard anything about it. Like most times I should have trusted my original instincts.

The movie was not terrible but it wasn't very interesting either. It's message is no different than several other movies I've seen and in several ways is much more dry and weak. Certainly not deserving of an Academy Award for Best Picture. I now understand why Brokeback and Capote felt robbed.

A much more deserving movie in the same genre is "American History X" which didn't even recieve a best picture nomination in 1999. It's such a superior movie to Crash that it speaks volumes about the quality of movies being produced in Holywood now as opposed to 5 years ago.

Detroit fails again and ESPN deems it a Shocker?

Why a shocker? The Red Wings are second only to the Atlanta Braves in their ability to choke in the post season. Any fan will tell you it's the same story every year

  1. They do great in the regular season

  2. They enter the playoffs as great favorites

  3. They come up against a hot goalie and choke

This year though, the MVP of choke has to go to Jason Williams. Your team is up 2 goals in a game you must win in the 3rd period. What went into your head when you took that stupid penalty. You gave them the momentum and halved our lead with that move.

The only thing that surprised me more was that Babcock put him back on the ice. Bowman would have done the correct thing by benching him. With that kind of screw up you obviously are just not in the game.

Here's to another season watching the next team easily eliminating the team that trounced the odds on favorite to win the cup.
